Kommune is a display typeface inspired by the vernacular shop- and promotion letterings of Burkina Faso. Originally designed as a stencil typeface for the solo show and accompanying catalogue of Burkina Faso born Architect Francis Kéré (famous for his Laongo Opera Village and communal school buildings) at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, it is now also available in a new version as a normal, non stencil typeface.
Kommune comes in two versions, providing two styles in 4 weights each.
Kommune is currently available only for desktop use. Web licence is coming soon – in case of emergency need for web formats contact us through e-mail.
